The Learning phase

Apprentices will intervene with a tutor monthly to learn the course curriculum. The majority of learning is conducted online allowing learners to meet other apprentices and network with their workplace peers and work colleagues.  We offer block release (quarterly) added benefit with inspirational mentors, advancing the essential skills and in developing important presentation behaviour skills that are required for achieving the End Point Assessment.

Apprentices must take 6 hours a week out of their normal contracted hours to engage in study and learning time – they must be employed for at least 30 hours per week. A minimum of Level 2 Maths and English is required before the end point assessment (prior certificates can be used to evidence the Maths and English).

Learners   must be in the learning stage for a minimum of 12 months and a day. During their time on the learning programme, they will build a portfolio of evidence that helps prove that they have attained the level of   capability required.

Once their portfolio is complete, the learner will go to a stage called “Gateway“ which is the start of their assessment.

This will be explained by our course mentoring staff.
